As advertising agency, we at Social Ads Guru always strive to find inspiration in the current and emerging trends. Such is with the popularity of social network Instagram, which today boosts with more than 500 million Instagrammers — more than 300 million of whom use Instagram every single day.
We made a personalized Instagram frame with messages about the Tour Guide Mostar project and there was even a line where we invited the tourists and visitors to tag themselves and use #tourguidemostar.
After that material was ready, our team went to the Old Town of Mostar and started our campaign “Smile with Tour Guide Mostar”.
We caught up and took photos with visitors from seventeen countries – Algeria, Australia, Italy, Kuwait, Croatia, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Spain Turkey, Bahrain, Czech Republic, Greece, Holland, Serbia and Taiwan.
We asked the tourists to take a free photo with us and take joyful memories back home from Mostar.
By opting for human contact and interaction, our team shared smiles and talked about the mission of our project which made us more “likeable” to the tourists and visitors. We also gave them thank you cards which contain Tour Guide Mostar info such as the email and social media profiles.
Our mission and campaign were successful.
What did we learn from this?
For advertising to be effective it must be memorable and include communication with consumers for delivering a meaningful message.
Keep in mind that human interaction increases the likeability of the brand/product/service even in these times of social media.
